Mexico – Diving in Playa Blanca

Completely burned out from a consulting gig in Denver, I needed to recharge, so I booked a trip to Playa Blanca, a sleepy village in Mexico.  The next thing I knew, I was on a chartered plane full of single people, all of us enjoying cocktails and heading south.

After clearing customs at the Zihuatanejo/Ixtapa International Airport (ZIH), I boarded a bus for an hour’s drive through beautiful banana plantations and lush green jungle.  Upon arrival at my hotel, I was greeted by staff, handed a beautiful margarita, and given a tour of the grounds.

It was week of bliss: just what I was looking for.  I met a few ladies to dive with and had a wonderful time on the beach and at the pool.  There was lots of dancing, dining, and diving.  I returned home thoroughly relaxed and ready to take on the world!

Stairway to cliffside villas, with a spectacular view of the bay.
